With Father’s Day around the corner, we had to make time to catch up with some celeb dads to chat about fatherhood. They share their experiences with us:

I was not able to speak to my parents about everything, and they could not be there for me in the way I would have loved. I don’t want that barrier with my children. If anything, I want them to know that they can talk to me about anything, I want to be their dad, mentor and friend.

Becoming a father has made me more patient. Being so close and attached to a little human being has made me come to the understanding that there is a superior power. Being a parent also made me appreciate and understand my parents, more importantly my father who has been a great example.

Before becoming a father, I wish I knew that there was no formula. I have had to trust my instincts and learn as I go. There is something fulfilling in living life as it comes.

I think fatherhood is based on actions of humanity by being present and showing acts of kindness, care and protection for your child. As a father, you make the best version of you in the next generation. You need to be present in your child’s life.

I wish I knew that fatherhood is really amazing. Before becoming a father, I wasn’t aware of what surrounded me and was nervous about the life I’d bring on this earth. But once the baby was born, everything falls into place.
