We chat to vibrant and bubbly television personality, Denise Zimba about what she’s been up to lately and her new position as a presenter on Ridiculousness Africa.
1. I decided to take some much-needed time off from SA’s entertainment industry. I desperately needed some time to relax and get back to doing things that make me happy and feel alive. I spent the time with my family and also traveled around the world. I then got back in the recording studio, and it was amazing.
2. Shooting Ridiculousness Africa in Madrid was amazing. I had such a blast because the local people were friendly, the food was delicious and the social scene had a lot to offer. Madrid is a beautiful place, and working with my co-presenters Thomas Gumede and Ehizojie “Ehiz” Okoeguale was a fun. There was loads of laughter, dancing, screaming and tears of joy. I can’t wait for the viewers to see what we got up to.
3. I was given a lot of creative freedom in presenting the show. As an eccentric presenter, I was blessed to work with a team that caters to my personality and allows me to be the best version of myself. Viewers will get to see the best of me in a witty and comical way.
4. I’ve just wrapped up my album, which is now in the packaging process. I’m excited about this album because I put my heart and truth into it. Music has been a heartfelt passion of mine and I’m ready to share it with music lovers. There is no release date yet, but I’m working hard to ensure that it’s released soon.
Catch Denise on Ridiculousness Africa from the 8th of June on MTV, DStv channel 130.
