Shonda Rhimes has announced that her award-winning hit series, How to Get Away With Murder is set to end with season 6. The show’s creator shared the news on social media.

Among the many awards, Viola Davis won an Emmy for playing Annalise Keating, becoming the first woman of color to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award.
Shonda Rhimes expressed her gratitude to the cast, crew and fans saying in part: “#HTGAWM has brought us six years of twists and turns. Thank you to the cast, crew, and writers for your dedication and passion. Thank you to the fans who have watched since the beginning. Finally, thank you, @petenowalk. Working with you has been a true pleasure. This might be the last season, but there’s still so much to cover. Get ready for a wild ride.”
