If you haven’t already heard the good news: American actress and writer, Issa Rae will be speaking alongside a panel of powerful women at In Good Company experience next month
The announcement was made by super-publicist, Melanie Ramjee on Wednesday and the excitement in South Africa is already building.
Issa Rae has a strong fanbase in Mzansi, especially because of the popularity of her work on television (her series Insecure is a big hit) and literature (her book Awkward Black Girl was a bestseller).

In Good Company is an innovative women empowerment programme that has the backing of DStv and looks to celebrate the power of Mzansi’s women at the end of this year’s Women’s Month. The event will be taking place on the 28th of August 2018 at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton and will feature a number of incredible speakers from SA and beyond.
Issae Rae will be a keynote speaker at the conference that will be hosted by Nomzamo Mbatha
The likes of Xoliswa Daku, who heads up Daku Group, Mzamo Masito, Google Africa’s CMO and Charl Basil, Pernod Ricard’s marketing director, will all be on the panel.
South Africans could barely hide their excitement when it was announced that Issa Rae would be jetting down for the first time in her career.

Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday and although they are pricey (R1 250 each!) when you consider the caliber of talent that will be on display, it’s safe to say they are worth it.
