Prince Harry’s memoir’s date has finally been set to release on the 10 of January 2023. Almost exactly three years to the day since he and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, announced their intention to “step back” from their roles as senior members of the British royal family, in one of the institution’s most high-profile upheavals in decades.
The book will be titled “Spare,” according to Washington Post, the book tells the story of Prince Harry’s life as growing up in the royal family and as third in line to the throne, behind his father Charles who is now King Charles III, and his older brother, William who is now Prince of Wales.
According to the book’s publisher Random House listed Harry’s book as a “ landmark publication” which was written with “raw unflinching honesty.” It has been described as a “tell-all.”
The book’s promotional website launched Thursday, and the publisher said the book will come out in 15 languages: French and Chinese, in addition to English. It is also set to release as an audiobook read by Prince Harry himself.

The release date of the book was pushed back after Prince Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, died at the age of 96 in September 2022. Many speculated that Harry was growing uncomfortable with the possible ramifications of the book regarding the royal family.
The announcement of the book caused mixed reactions in the United Kingdom, where Harry, who was once a well-regarded senior member of the royal family attracted the ire of parts of the British public for his high-profile break with Buckingham Palace and the stunning allegations he and Meghan have levied against the royal family, notably those contained in an interview last year with Oprah Winfrey.
