Nelly is 31 years old and lives in Tugela Ferry, KwaZulu-Natal. Dawn has chosen her as one of the winners of a fantastic R100 000 prize. She looks after her body, from the inside and out. “I love Dawn body lotion, because when I apply it after bathing, my skin glows.” Nelly’s biggest dream is to become a nurse. “Nothing will make me happier”, she says.
We catch up with her to find out how the R100 000 prize will change her life.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES AND INTERESTS?
A: I like listening to gospel music – it lifts my spirits. I also like sharing ideas, and helping other people improve their lives.
Q: WHY DID YOU ENTER THE COMPETITION?
I was reading BONA and I saw the competition. I saw other people winning and I loved that it gave people a chance to fulfil their dreams. I hoped it would be my breakthrough moment.
Q: HOW IS THIS PRIZE GOING TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE FOR THE BETTER?
A: It has been my childhood dream to become a nurse. The prize means that my dreams are nearer and they can be accomplished. It also made me feel important.
