With South African hip hop on the rise, it’s no surprise to us that we have a heavy local line-up to join international hip hop mega stars SchoolboyQ, Rae Sremmurd and Kid Ink at the AXECESSJOZI concert.
Even though we are sad that rapper Tyga will not be joining the heated team of hip hop artists – he’ll be touring with Chris Brown for the ‘Between the Sheets’ with Trey Songz – we’re sure it will be a great AXECESSJOZI concert.
The fantastic line up of South African artists includes Cassper Nyovest, Cash Time Family’s KO, Ma E, Kid X, Maggz and Nomuzi, Durban hip hop trio Dreamteam, P.H, DJ Dimplez, DJ Feel and Yanga.
It’ll be exciting to see Nomuzi step out of her presenter role to showcase her rap skills, The event takes place 7 March at Mary Fitzgerald Square, Newtown. It’s bound to appeal to both young and old, and lovers of Motswako and Skhanda music.
If that isn’t a good enough reason for you to be a part of the action, then perhaps the idea of seeing Denis Zimba and Miss Sammy Soso – the hostesses for the event – will get you going!
