Local film Losing Lerato won 5 international awards at the Idyllwild International Festival Of Cinema in California. The awards include best actor feature for star and producer Kagiso Modupe, best actress feature for Samela Tyelbooi, best child performance for Tshimollo Modupe. The film also scooped up the best original score for Brian Temba, Golden Era Humanitarian Narrative Award and the coveted festival favourite.
he film tells the story of a young black man who takes matters into his own hands by kidnapping his daughter afterlife, the law, and the woman he once loved separates him from his child.
