Cyprian Ndlovu almost broke the internet when his fans found out he would be moving from Vuzu TV to be the new male presenter of E.tv’s Club 808. The single hottie chats to us about the move, and everything else he’s dabbling in.
From one big brand to another; how are you feeling about the changeover joining a new broadcast family?
I am completely happy to be joining the e.tv team. However, it won’t be the first. I have done a few acting scenes on one Rhythm City. I had a great time at Vuzu, they gave me a head start, I will be forever grateful but I am happy to be at Club 808.
You became known for your television presenting talent when you were top four finalists for the MTV Base presenter search. Has presenting been something you had wanted to do?
Indeed it is! I have been interested in doing other media related jobs but presenting is something I had always been hungry to do. I then decided to go to auditions, and that is how I came to be a finalist for the MTV Base presenter search. Soon after that I was on Vuzu TV and am now excited to be with Club 808.
What were you doing before you got in the industry?
Before becoming a television presenter, I had been interested in doing investment banking, being an accountant or construction scientist. But, I went for something else completely. At the moment, I’m a second year student at Monash University South Africa doing a double major in Economics and International Studies.
How do you then juggle work, and university?
I struggled to juggle things when I first started, but working for Club 808 allows me to focus on my studies because I don’t shoot as much.
How do you keep fit in the midst of work and varsity?
There is no big secret. I set a goal and go for what I want. I go to the gym five days a week, for 30 to 60 minutes. I also try stay away from fatty foods. Right now I’m trying to follow a set healthy diet but that’s easier said than done (laughs).
How do you unwind?
Home is where my heart is. That is where I hang out with friends, and get some me time.
Since you are single, tell us, what qualities do you like in a woman?
I want someone smart, beautiful confident and someone I can carry a conversation with easy.
What would your ideal date be?
Something simple, maybe dinner; just a nice chilled vibe.
What advice do you have for aspiring presenter?
Just focus and know what you want in life – that is what has helped me get through it. Keep a positive outlook and never be negative. Have a direction for whatever it is you want to do and go for it.
