Award-winning rapper and Africa’s coolest kid Nasty C has signed to Def Jam Recordings. The star signed an exclusive contract with the label through a joint venture with Universal Music Africa.

Following the signing Nasty made his official U.S. debut with his new single, There They Go with Ebro on Apple Music Beats1. The single is the first song of his forthcoming album, Zulu Man With Some Power.
Speaking on the deal, Nasty C shared in part; “It’s powerful to be a part of the Def Jam family. It’s an iconic record label and has made the careers of many of the artists I look up to.”
Def Jam Recordings interim Chairmand & CEO said in part; “Nasty C is a unique and forward-thinking artist who is at the forefront of a new generation of rappers emerging from Africa.”
