Chanel was drop dead gorgeous in a floor-length baroque inspired gown. The body-hugging dress shaped her figure perfectly.
Christina Aguilera
Christina looked like a life-size tile. The distracting design was not flattering, and the high neck cut of the dress was overwhelming.
Jennifer Lopez
Never one to shy away from showing some skin Jlo stayed true to character in a revealing embellished gown. This wasn’t our favourite – we preferred her outfit on the red carpet.
Keke Palmer
Slay Keke, slay!! This is a woman who knows how to dress for her body and age. White is such a complementary colour on her chocolate skin. Winning!!
Lil’ Kim
Lil Kim has a tragic element about her that just won’t let her be great. This dress would have worked better on somebody younger and slightly slimmer ¬– it’s a shame she chose it because the dress on its own had potential. A typical example of right dress, wrong person.
Lisa Bonet and Zoe Kravitz
The mommy and daughter duo looked absolutely stunning. We can see where Zoe gets her timeless features from, because Lisa is ageing very gracefully. Zoe’s dress was bold and edgy, while Lisa was chic in all black with some tassel detailing for a bit of razzle.
Lupita Nyongo
This dress looked like it was inspired by the Oscar award itself. The colour looked stunning on Lupita, but the dress needed something extra to make it interesting.
Paula Patton
Some nip and tuck would’ve gone a long way to making this gown a striking number. The excess fabric made it unattractive and too grown for a woman, Paula.
Rita Ora
A petition needs to be signed to ban all designers from making these dresses. They are so tired and uninspiring. It’s so disappointing to see that this is what Rita chose to wear after she looked so amazing on the red carpet of the actual event.
Selita E Banks
Selita was Barbie personified in this super cute pink number. We loved everything –from the style to the fringe hair-do. Nice one.
Serena Williams
The unfortunate thing about Serena is that her build makes it very difficult to pull off a soft and feminine look. This is another case of right dress, wrong person. Better luck next time Ms. Williams
Solange
This was definitely better than what we saw her in on the red carpet. Not our favourite look of the night, but we can forgive this time around.
Zoe Saldana
Zoe brought her A game to the after party. She looked like royalty and everything about this outfit worked.
Beyonce
Bey has a body that can pull off so much more than what she decided to wear, hopefully next time we will get to see Sasha Fierce in action as this innocent bride-to-be look doesn’t do it for us.
