Our February cover stars Caiphus Semenya and Letta Mbulu have launched an arts academy, The National Academy of Africa’s Performing Arts (NAAPA). The academy is the iconic couple’s brainchild and was created to play the role of an educational institution and encourage the community to pursue a career in the arts.
The school is at the newly refurbished Soweto Amphitheatre, in Jabulani. The launch was a star-studded affair with the minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, John Kani, Jerry Mofokeng and Sello Maake-KaNcube.
Congratulations to Caiphus Semenya and Letta Mbulu! We can’t wait to witness the talent from the academy.
