For anyone growing up in the late 80s/ early 90s there was nothing scarier than Lesilo. The show, Lesilo Rula was about a petty and jealous man, Raitlhoane who used a whistle to bring to life a scary creature called Lesilo. It wasn’t all together clear what Lesilo was or where he came from but he manifested in different forms and assisted Raitlhoane to evade arrest for crimes he committed. He also used him to make the lives of those he hated a living hell. He seriously frightened many of us and made a lot of little kids afraid of the dark. Watching the show now though we can’t help but see the comedic elements to it.
