Local film White Gold is set to have its world premiere and be in official competition at the Pan African Film Festival. This is America’s largest and most prestigious international black film festival.
The film shared the exciting news on social media saying in part, “er excited that my latest short film WHITE GOLD has made the OFFICIAL SELECTION at Oscar qualifying ’28th Pan African Film Festival’ in LA. This will be it’s world premiere and we are honoured to have been invited.”
White Gold follows embraces the tough issues faced by people with albinism living in Africa today. It’s written & directed by award-winning director, Luke Bradford and stars Refilwe Modiselle, Shadi Chauke and Aubrey Mmakola.
The Pan African Film Festival takes place from 11 – 23 February 2020 in Los Angeles.
