3 Of South Africa’s iconic couples

In a world where many love stories don’t often suffice the test of time, it is still a sight for sore eyes to witness genuine love that is not easily influenced and intimated by earthly things.

We may carelessly throw around the term “couple goals” every now and again, however the true couple goals of Mzansi remain these following couples as they have showcased what a successful marriage looks like.

  • Sthandiwe and Tony Kgoroge

The Kgoroge’s are both exceptional thespians within the film and performance industry. Actor Tony has appeared on many  local series such as Imbewu as Ngcolosi and one of his most prominent role as Jason Tshabalala on Invictus. 

Sthandiwe has been one of the actresses’ on Generations portraying the role of twins Zinzi and Zoleka. She also debuted as the Zulu Queen Mother, Mthaniya on Mzansi Magic’s Shaka Ilembe.

  • Letta Mbulu and Caiphus Semenya

Name a better duo than these two classic music legends. Letta and Caiphus not only gave the world some of the most sweetest melodies, but also gave us a true representation of black beautiful love that stood the test of time and remained genuine through all these years.

It is no wonder these legends gave us the purest love songs with lyrics such as “Because of you my world is such a beautiful place,” to “There’s a joy in everything when made for love.”

  • Bheki and Linah Ngcobo 

The heads of Ofuze are people who have captivated the hearts of many Mzansi citizens for quite a while. The renowned maskandi artist alongside his wife and family gave us a access to what their lives are like in their reality show, Ofuze.

In an interview with 702, Ihashe Elimhlophe shared the pivotal value his wife has had in his life and the formation of his brand, “When I met my wife before she was Linah and we fell in love. It happened that she got more successful before I was. In the process when I was still trying to build my career, she was my pillar.”
