Former Big Brother Mzansi (BBM) contestant, Ash-ley Ogle who was abruptly evicted from the house in one of Big Brother’s unexpected plots and twists, received her flowers from the viewers while she could still smell them as she walked on the Big Brother stage one last time.
The 26-year-old from Durban conversed with BONA and spilled the tea about her experience in the house as well as her love story with one of the housemates, Akhonamathemba Mbele, better known as Sweet Guluva.
Going into the house Ash-ley promised to not sleep and keep viewers entertained, for some it looks like she has accomplished her goal as she has since garnered a strong fanbase named “Ash Angels”.
Even though her fanbase could not exercise their right to vote since she was never nominated for eviction, they proved to be a force when they went out in numbers to support her at her tell-all with BBM host, Afrika Mdutyulwa popularly known as Smash Afrika.
In conversation with BONA, she highlighted that she remains the same person she used to be the first day she walked in the house and acknowledges that she has stepped on toes during her stay, however, she remains regretful of how some things unfolded which led to her and Bongiwe Booi’s (Bonnie Bee) punishment.
“I deserved the punishment because I should not have said what I said. I shouldn’t have done that but I knew that it was wrong, that’s why I apologised for it several times,” she said.
When asked who she thinks will clinch the ultimate prize of R2 Million, she did not hesitate or hold back. She jokingly used one of Sweet Guluva’s famous lines ‘Uyang’bamba kanjani’ and said she was rooting for Sweet Guluva.
The Ash-Sweet shippers were left smiling from ear to ear when the couple was asked by Smash Afrika if they would continue with their romantic relationship outside the house, the pair answered “definitely” on different occasions without thinking twice.
Speaking to BONA, she said: “He said he is the man, he has to lead. So I will wait for him to lead, when he asks the question, definitely,” she said.
Taking on her X (formerly Twitter) page, Ash-ley acknowledged the end of an unforgettable era.
