A Kelly Khumalo and Arthur Mafokate love affair in the air?

Two of some of mzansi’s most controversial figures have sparked some dating rumours after Kelly Khumalo shared a suspicious image of her and South African music veteran Arthur Mafokate, leaving users to speculate whether there are romantic sparks in the air, or they’re merely collaborating on something.

Both Kelly Khumalo and Arthur Mafokate have been at the receiving end of massive and collective backlash for various reasons. For Arthur, the resistance stems from his GBV scandal with then-partner, popular songstress Busisiwe ‘Cici’ Thwala, where it was revealed that the singer suffered life-changing injuries at the hands of Arthur.

Kelly’s case is a bit more complicated, as the singer has garnered a negative reputation based on speculation, rather than facts. Her romantic relationships with various notable mzansi figures and the way each ended has been a cause for concern for their fans and followers, as they frame Kelly to be the villain in each story.

Recently, taking to her Instagram to post a suspicious picture, where she and the ‘Sika lekhekhe’ hit-maker are posed up in quite a cosy manner. The caption accompanying the post raised eyebrows as it reads “Isazozalwa letsotsi ezozhlukanisa” (the man who will come between us is yet to be born), leaving her followers and nosy people to wonder whether this iconic coupling was real or not.

As both Kelly and Arthur are seasoned musicians in mzansi’s music industry, it is possible that this is merely a stunt to promote some new music that they are working on. However, until they set the record straight, a possible love affair is the more thrilling narrative to go with, which internet users have gladly run with, and we’re not mad at it all.

As expected, Mzansi is weary of the pairing, as they are always with anyone Kelly Khumalo is rumoured to be romantically involved with. These users have rushed to quickly advise Arthur that should the rumours be true, he should watch his back as Kelly’s romantic rap sheet raises eyebrows for these users.

Conversely, other users have expressed that they believe that this is a match made in heaven as both artists deserve each other. These users believe that this relationship will determine who South Africa’s true villain is, as it is not likely that both will emerge unscathed should things go sour between the two.
