It feels like yesterday when Emtee (born as Mthembeni Ndevu) made his way into the industry with his award-winning song Roll Up, this was back in 2015 when he was still signed under the famous Johannesburg-based record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment.
The South African rapper is one of the artists we have watched make a name for themselves, whilst trying to manoeuvre the industry, he might have made mistakes that almost cost him his career.
He left the Ambitiouz Entertainment record label and started his own, Emtee Records. It is alleged that he left the record label because they did not pay him well after he worked hard doing six gigs in one night. While trying to find his feet again, the father of three had promised his supporters to give them new music.
As his record grew, Emtee signed a few artists under his label. With fans waiting for DIY 3 to be released, Emtee took to his social media platforms to announce that he is to host a one-man show to celebrate his 10-year music career and also give back to his supporters.
The sold-out one-man show was one of the most successful events the multi-award-winning artist has hosted. Taking to his Instagram, he shared his performance pictures. In his caption he took time to share his gratitude to everyone who was there to support him starting from his fans to his industry mates.
He specifically gave a few shout-outs to the people he worked with to bring the show to life.
