For this past weekend only, the Mother City was home to some of South Africa’s biggest A-Listers as popular beauty brand L’Orèal Paris to hosted their highly anticipated Holiday Dinner and Walk your Worth Fashion show.
Taking a break from the demanding and chaotic nature of show business, some of Mzansi’s biggest fashion and beauty icons convened in Franshoek in honour of a two-day event L’Orèal Paris event which included an opulent dinner on the first day, and a thrilling fashion show filled with all the festivities you can imagine.
Cape Town is known for its majestic and breathtaking natural wonders as well as the range of fun and interesting activities for even the most niche audience, therefore, the chosen location, a gorgeous estate in the nook of Franshoek was the perfect choice for this eloquent soiree.
The weekend began with the brand’s holiday dinner where mzansi’s entertainment industry convened to celebrate South Africa’s talent, specifically, the fashion industry, highlighting some of our local designers who have been doing it big out in the world.
The brand’s leading ambassadors Bonang Matheba, Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni, Thembi Seete, Zola Nombona and many more fan favourites were among those that were present on the day, and as expected, our favourites came prepared and were dressed for the nines.

As it appears, Thursday was only the warm-up as Friday brought on the ‘Walk your Worth’ fashion show, which was inspired by the brand’s annual Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris runway show.
Including designers such as Rich Mnisi, Tshepo Mohlala (Tshepo jeans), Palesa Mokubung (Manstho) and more, the show sought to shine a light on these talented individuals who continue to elevate and represent South African fashion on a local and global scale.
The runway show was nothing short of a spectacle with the venue adding on to the overall ambience adding to the overall feel of the event.
The designers displayed an array of different pieces, some vibrant and colourful and some flowy and expressive, but all just as breathtaking. Familiar faces such as Thembi Seete, former Miss SA Lalela Mswane, Zamani Mbatha and Nomalanga Shozi graced the runway as models as well, making the night one to remember.
