Abdul Khoza took to his Instagram to thank fans after leaving the popular hit series The Wife.
The actor played “Nqoba Zulu,” in the telenovela, where he gained attraction as a fan favourite which gained him a spot in him winning the Favourite Actor at this year’s DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards and Golden Horn for Best Supporting Actor at the 2022 Saftas.
Abdul penned a heartfelt letter to his fans, apologising to those who wished to see more of him.
Abdul expressed in his post that he was just an actor in the series and did not have input on the longevity of his character.
This post came before the episode of his character’s funeral on ‘The Wife’.
The actor said the following in his Instagram post:
“I’d like to take this time to thank everyone who showed me love and support during my time at The Wife. I will always love you, but I’d also like to apologise to those that are saddened by my departure from the show.
“Unfortunately, no actor writes their own characters story, so please understand that I cannot change or influence any show to keep any of my characters once they have need written the story. I am just an actor right now … hope we see each other on our next journey. I will forever be honoured and humbled by the love our viewers and and we appreciate each and everyone one of you,” he wrote.
