Multi-award-winning rapper AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes’s murder left many mzansi citizens with sore hearts as the rapper was among the most loved artists in the country.
A year after his death, many still share pictures of him, expressing how it will take time for them to recover from the loss of the Super Mega.
Not only was Super Mega a talented rapper but he was also a great dad, often sharing videos and pictures with his daughter Kairo Forbes who he was co-parenting with ex-girlfriend Ntombezinhle “DJ Zinhle” Jiyane.
The rapper met his fate on Friday, February 10th last year in a shooting alleged to have been a hit. His friend Tibz, real name Tebello Motsoane was also shot and killed in a hit that wasn’t sent for him, according to reports from the police. He was due to perform at Durban-based businessman Kgolo Mthembu’s nightclub Yugo, having his meal before heading to the event.
The rapper was very popular and active on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, now called X. Like usual, on the day he died, he shared a few tweets before his life was cut short.

He started by posting a poster of the Durban leg of his birthday celebration which is on the 27th of January. The event was to be held at Yugo Club, in Greyville, Berea.
