Ama Qamata and Khosi Ngena, the Blood and Water stars recently appeared on Defining friendship, a youtube show, to share the details of their friendship.
The on screen sisters first met on the set of Blood and Water season 1 and have been inseparable since.
Their energies matched instantly when they first met, “I remember she walked in and I thought she was gorgeous, this beautiful girl, and she just had this calm energy about her,” Ama explained.
“I thought she was beautiful, super confident and really inviting,” Khosi added.
The “Khumalo” sisters’ friendship has been a beautiful one to witness. They have shared parts of their friendship on their Instagram timelines and it’s been beautiful to watch them not only get along on screen but be besties in real life too.
Ama posted a cute video with her bestie Khosi on instagram, just letting loose and dancing to music. “If it isn’t obvious already, I’m pretty obsessed with this girl. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better person to walk on this journey with me. @khosingema I love you or whatever,” Ama captioned the video.

In the Defining Friendship interview, Ama showed some jealousy when she was asked what she finds the most irritating trait about Khosi. The actress explained how she doesn’t understand why Khosi has other ‘besties’ besides her, as she wants to be Khosi’s only best friend. “I’m your bestie, are they on Defining with you,” Ama said jokingly.
As part of the interview, the best friends shared some heartwarming messages to each other.
“You are amazing, you are strong, you are confident, you have so much power you don’t even understand” Ama said to Khosi.
“I want you to know that you’ve grown so much in my eyes. I see you, I love you and I will always love you even when I disappear,” Khosi said to Ama.
