The American label was founded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson and record executive Ike Youssef in 2023, to help artists distribute multimedia content and collaborate with artists in creating, distributing, and monetising their work.
According to Hype Magazine, this collaboration with the South African rapper honours music’s worldwide impact while also emphasising the music company’s commitment to pushing African artists to remarkable heights.
The above-mentioned source adds that since Anatii’s global breakthrough, he has earned a Forbes 30 Under 30 and has also been recognised for his songwriting skills on multi-award-wining superstar Beyoncé’s single, Brown Skin Girl featuring her daughter Blue IVY and WizKid.
Speaking to news publication, Daily Sun on his new deal, he said, “Writing this song brought perspective on the challenges and growth I’ve experienced. With Gamma, I have the ideal platform to share my sound worldwide and elevate the Bushman aesthetic to new heights.”
President/MD Africa & Middle East at Gamma, Sipho Dlamini shared that Anatii’s decision to sign with the US distribution company will help expand the international music company name in Africa.
