Rapper Anele Zondo, also known as Ney-the-bae, took to social media to express her gratitude after bagging a Basadi in Music Video of the Year Award for her song Ingwe featuring Given Zulu.
The award ceremony was held at the Joburg Theatre on Saturday, 12 August. Ney-the-bae was up against Jamie Lee-Sexton for Run Run Run, Kamo Mphela ft. Various Artists for Ghost, Lwah Ndlunkulu for Ngiyeza and Pabi Cooper ft. Mello & Sleazy for Waga Bietjie.
Taking to her social media, the Thick Slim rapper shared:
“Trying to explain how this feels would be an injustice to my feelings because there’s no words that amount. ‘Music video of the year award goes to’ was the last thing I heard, and in my mind, I thought it would be so cool to win this award because it was so cool making this video, a lot of detail was implemented by @tedmagerman ?and everyone who was a part of it really pulled it off to the MAX – I want to thank you ?. To everyone who voted my Bae1’s, my day ones, my family and friends thank you & congratulations this is for you.
