‘Awkward Dates’ – Lasizwe launches new celeb show

YouTuber and social media content creator Lasizwe Dambuza is back on YouTube with a new show called Awkard Dates.

A few months ago, the star announced that he was quitting YouTube.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, he said that the concept of this new show was inspired by a show called Chicken Shop Date by a UK YouTuber. “The show was inspired by this UK YouTuber who is also a content creator. Her name is Amelia Dimoldenberg. She has a show called Chicken Shop Date and I was a huge fan of it and how she executed it.

“South African celebrities have never been seen as human … People see us as these stars and behind the stars it’s emotions and feelings and all of that stuff,” he told the publication.

Taking to Instagram, he announced the exciting news of his return to YouTube with the new show. “Let’s go on a DATE??with who? Your favourite celebrities! Get to see myself and your favourite stars in a light you have never seen them before! LET’S GO!! The show is called #AwkwardDates,” he wrote.

Supporters should expect the first episode of the show on his channel in July, serving as a birthday present for him, he told TshisaLIVE.
