Congratulations are in order to our soccer pride and joy Banyana Banyana for qualifying to go through the third round of the Paris Olympic games. Banyana Banyana did this by beating Democratic Republic of Congo on a 2-0 score, reaching an aggregate of 3-1 at Soweto’s Orlando stadium.
Both goals were conceded by striker Thembi Kgatlana proving yet again why our ladies reached the last 16 stage at the Fifa Women’s World Cup in France a few months ago.
The Paris Olympic Games are set to commence on the 26th of June 2024 where 32 sporting codes will be showcased with thousands hoping to bag gold medals.
As it stands, Banyana Banyana are the only soccer team that gives us hope of lifting a Soccer World Cup trophy one day, following in the footsteps of our Springboks team who will be landing today from France following their rugby World Cup win against All Blacks the past weekend.
Banyana Banyana’s win moves them to the third round of the games, where they are set to battle a winning team between Botswana and Tanzania, shares the South African Football Association.
Full-time!

Wendy and Nicole are the future of this banyana team, the future look promising if only we can get a proper technical team coach des is not the one in my humble opinion
