When it comes to the amount of talent people have in a single country, South Africa has once again proven that we have no shortage of it.
This weekend devoted viewers of the fast-growing singing competition The Masked Singer SA were once again amazed by how talented our athletes are.
Recently, the ever-lively Banyana Banyana goalkeeper Andile Dlamini became the 7th contestant to have their identities revealed in the tightly contested singing competition.

The show which is currently in its second season sees some of the country’s most popular celebrities walk the stage in a costume which covers their bodies from head to toe in order to conceal their identities while performing some of the audience’s most favourite songs.
With each performance, small hints are given for the viewer to guess who it might be, while failure to achieve a certain number of votes can see a celeb being exposed from behind the costume.
This season has seen seven people being unmasked from the veteran Springbok player Breyton Paulse all the way to the UFC champion Dricus Du Plessis.
This week it was the turn of the Banyana goalkeeper Andile Dlamini who wowed the judges with her voice.
Andile found herself disguised as “Rainbow” performing songs like So Sick by Ne-Yo, as well as Justin Bieber’s Sorry, bringing joy to the hearts of listeners.

After her true identity was exposed, she shared how much the journey meant to her, explaining that she has always been a musician.
“I am glad I could have such an amazing journey with this beautiful mask representing my community. It also showed my flipside,” she explained.
“Besides my soccer talent. I am also a musician. The show has been an incredible platform to explore and showcase my other talent.”
In another interview with Primedia, she said that many fans knew that she could sing.
“But I think I needed this bigger platform to actually showcase my talent so the whole world could listen to my voice.”
In an interview with Sowetan Live, she confirmed that she was working on releasing music.
“God is paving another way for me right now. I’m still a soccer player and a proud one,” she said.
