Since last year, we have heard rumours and seen glimpses of the highly anticipated movie, Barbie. Now, we are able to see a little bit more about the film after the release of its trailer and cast photos.
Directed by Academy award-nominated writer and director, Greta Gerwig, the film stars Academy award nominees Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as the main Barbie and Ken. Yes, you have read that correctly – the “main” Barbie and Ken. After all, there is more than one Barbie and Ken in the Barbieverse!
Actresses Issa Rae (Insecure), Alexandra Shipp (Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B), Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy), Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live) and Grammy Award-winning singer Dua Lipa are among those who plays in Barbie.

Regarding the other Kens, you will see Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Kingsley Ben-Adir (The OA), Scott Evans (Grace and Frankie) and Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education) all take on the role as Barbie’s beloved boyfriend.
