Former Miss South Africa Basetsana Kumalo recently posted a heartfelt message to her son Nkosinathi to congratulate him on officially reaching the end of his high schooling journey.
In a lengthy post, the media personality expressed how proud she is of her 18-year-old son for making a mature decision to start high school at Michael House – a Christian boy’s school based in KwaZulu-Natal that focuses on instilling godly values into its pupils.
“You were only 13 when you did your own research and asked to be given an opportunity to study at Michael House, the school of your choice. You gave us a 10-power point presentation on the why.
“Thursday marked the end of your schooling career. You were brave to ask to go to boarding school. You were only 14 when you left home, today you are an 18-year-old young man,” she wrote.
The proud mother continued: “Super proud of you for the choice that you made and seeing it through. Your strength of character is something I marvel at. You are destined for greatness.”
A video attachment shows the ambitious teenager cherishing the final hours of his schooling journey as he goes on to sign his name in the school history books before receiving a bible from one of the “old boys” (former students).
He later embraces his friends who experienced the 5-year journey with him.

The 51-year-old, who documented the entire proceeding, could not hold back the joy in her heart.
“Seeing you take the Warriors Walk out of the school gate was emotional mixed with tears of joy and gratitude. ‘Quis Ut Deus.’ Who but God! As our school mantra declares always lean on God.
“Go and win in every space son. We are so proud of you Champ. May the hand of God always be upon you, may Grace cover you, may goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life. You are dearly loved. ♥️♥️♥️,” she ended.
