South African musical artist Betusile Mcinga bagged himself a Texas Gospel Music Excellence Award (TGMEA) for Male Soloist Of The Year.
The three-day award ceremony took place from the 15th until the 18th of February in Houston, Texas. The purpose of the awards is to reward independent gospel music artists for excellence in the music industry that they are a part of.
Taking to Instagram, the 2022 Song of the Year winner shared a picture of the award. In his caption, he expressed his gratitude to God, his family and friends, and his supporters. He wrote, “Bazalwane God is amazing and I can’t thank Him enough. He deserves all the glory.”
He reflected on the time he was nominated and announced that he had won the award: “I’ve never imagined this day so soon. That a Boy from Gatyane in Eastern Cape would recognised overseas, it can only be God Fam,” he added.
He thanked everyone for the support, “Thank you so much for supporting my ministry and voting for me on this one. A Big thanks to our MEC Nonceba Kontsiwe for always supporting our creative sector in EC and all the Media houses that played Ngena Noah and continue to do so, I am grateful.”
Betusile did not forget to also congratulate another South African artist Phindi P who also won two awards from the TGMEA. Concluding his caption, he thanked his family, wife, and kids, “My wife, kids, and Family are always behind my back, I am blessed.”
