The South African-based mysterious man BI Phakathi donates R15 000 to the Albany bread girl.
Last year, a picture of a young girl playing in the mud whilst holding Albany bread made rounds on social media platforms with some people admiring her big smile and how happy she looked. The picture was posted by her uncle, Lungisani Mjaji who is also the person who took the picture since he is a photographer.
With the picture going viral, Albany had reached out to the family and sent them a few items that were delivered by their two workers. Recently, Lungisani took to the internet to share that they did not receive any compensation from Albany.
BI Phakathi who is famously known for helping people out through his BI Phakathi Foundation, took to his Facebook account and shared the iconic picture of the you girl. In his caption he wrote, “Let’s show her love, if she gets 100K likes. BI Phakathi is personally donating R10K to keep this beautiful girl smiling.”
A lot of people were happy that BI decided to help the little girl, so the picture received over 100k likes exceeding the number of likes he requested.
In a different post where he posted a video of the little girl and screenshots of the payment, he wrote in his caption,” BI Phakathi donated R15 000 to her, she will keep on smiling.”
In the video, the little girl is heard saying, “Thank you for the gift father Phakathi, may God bless you.”
