Although she was competing with internationally acclaimed onscreen personalities, Africans united and rallied behind Bonang to support her. The multimedia star has previously hosted Miss South Africa with ease and each time she left the stage, she would be a trending topic for days. If not for her beautiful gowns, it would be for her hosting skills.
We did put forward @bonang and the whole African continent is behind her because we know she is more than capable of hosting the pageant. Perhaps you will consider her in the future pic.twitter.com/pLByIyCuhk

Some supporters and fans of this organization shared on social media that the award winning Tv personality was perfect for the job.
With the new owner of the organization, Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, there have been many changes to the organization. We first witnessed it parting ways with Steve Harvey who hosted the pageant for half a decade.
After the backlash from many African fans, the new owner of the pageant responded saying “ No favoritism! When your country writes to me, I will listen and respond back. Every nation is equal, thanks. I need to hear from you.”
