It has not been long since this year’s Miss SA finale, which was successfully hosted by the ever-elegant Bonang Matheba. Since then, the media personality has been booked and busy with other ventures such as her reality TV show B’Dazzled as well as partnerships with major brands.
In a moment of appreciating the hard work that Bonang has put in to achieve the success that she has, one X(formerly Twitter) user expressed how much they would love to see her hosting the Miss Universe finale, given her previous success with hosting Miss SA multiple times.
Many users echoed this sentiment, with one user going as far as tagging the CEO of JKN Global Group, who is responsible for the Miss Universe pageant, Anne Jakrajutatip. Bonang’s supporters have never been shy about expressing the fact that they know their favourite would flourish on a bigger stage and made sure that she is now on Anne’s and the powers that be radar.
Dear @annejknofficial we would really appreciate if @Bonang can kindly please host Miss Universe. We’ve been tagging @MissUniverse the whole day today. Please please do consider this request 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/xxdRsZRrQn

Surprisingly, Anne then responded to the tweet by saying “Beautiful”, which caused a frenzy as many users drew their conclusions about what the response could imply. This is great timing for Bonang and her fan base as according to Variety, the pageant parted ways with long-time host Steve Harvey in 2022 due to looking to go in a different direction, particularly with a black woman.
Anne’s response has raised the hopes and expectations of many South African internet users who believe that Bonang deserves a chance to prove herself.
I love this for our miss legendary @Bonang , can’t wait to see you rock that stage again soon @MissUniverse https://t.co/8QXOgamqM5
