Award-winning media personality Bonang Matheba is set to bring the house down at the Miss South Africa 2023 pageant as she will be wearing a dress worth R60k at the pageant ceremony.
The Young, Famous & African star was recently announced as the host, and her House of BNG is the official sponsor of the South African pageant. She took to her Instagram to express her excitement as she returns as the pageant’s host.
“Excited to return as host of the Miss South Africa finale… Live from the SunBet Arena, Pretoria. Join us THIS Sunday at 18:30 on SABC 3!!” she wrote.

The media personality visited Metro FM on Wednesday where she appeared on DJ Sabby’s breakfast show.
The DJ asked her how many outfits should people anticipate on Sunday night.
“We did the pre-production meeting yesterday [Tuesday] and a rehearsal, so as soon as I plot the show in my mind and I go through the segments, I’ll know how many [outfits] I’ll need. I make a certain number but not all of them get on stage,” said Bonang.
When asked about which dress would be the most expensive the reality TV star responded by saying R60k.
“There’s one that’s being made by a designer, somewhere … it was about $3,200 [R60,040]. That’s the big opener number,” said Bonang.
Miss South Africa 2023 will be crowned at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria on August 13.
