For the past few days, South African actress, motivational speaker and mother Brenda Ngxoli has been quite popular on our social media platforms.
This comes after a video of her mother broke into the internet where they were having an altercation however, her mother was not kind to her.
Since this incident, social media users and fans have been concerned about her mental health, many tried reaching her to find out how she was.
A social media influencer and TikToker Mandisi Tshingana took it upon himself to start an initiative to raise funds, fans were able to raise an amount of R100 00 in just 24 hours.
This initiative opened a lot of doors for Brenda as South Africans extended their helping hand and went out of their way to make sure that she was okay, safe and happy along with her daughter, Sky.
Amongst the people who donated, The Fergusons Films who once employed Brenda donated an amount of R50 000 making the total amount of donations R150 000.
While managing to secure a few gigs, the award-winning actress recently bagged herself a role in a new local romantic-comedy movie called ‘A Scam Called Love,’ the movie is set to premiere nationwide at Sterk-Kinekor and Nu Metro on the 7th of March 2025.
Taken to Facebook, Mandisi shared a screenshot of the announcement. His caption was, “Silapha bafazi [ladies, we are here now.]
Social media users and fans filled the comment section expressing their excitement and how happy they were for the mother of one.
One fan said that they were certain that the movie will do well because they are going to make sure they support her no matter what.
Another one wrote, “She went to Home Affairs and the role she played was exactly what she was currently going through, and now she is in a Scam called LOVE, it might be also about/reflecting on what she went through she will kill the role I trust her, all the best and congratulations.”
