When it comes to watching 2023 beauty contests on their TV screens, Mzansi pageant fanatics are in for a treat. Just like the broadcast of Miss South Africa, this year’s Miss World South Africa set to take place at the State Theatre in Pretoria on 28 October, will be aired on SABC 3.
According to reports, the broadcast time is from 17h30 to 20h30.
Viewers will get to see the 12 contestants – whose ages range from 17 to 26 – contend for the Miss World South Africa crown, with the winner jetting off to India on 9 December for the 71st Miss World event.
Media personality Minnie Dlamini was announced as the host for the event for the next two years. She shared on Instagram, “The Official host for @missworldsouthafrica airing globally ???. Bagged for the next two years ? From Little Miss South Africa 2002 to this? ?❤️.” The actress also thanked businesswoman and owner of Miss World South Africa Carol Bouwer for the extraordinary honour. “I can’t wait to make you and the organisation proud ?.”

Minnie will be joined by Zanele Morrison, Shirley van Wyk, and Thami Nkadimeng who will support the actress as co-hosts, The Citizen previously reported. IOL reports that the esteemed panel of judges will consist of former beauty queen Realeboga Malatji, Miss South Africa 2014 and Miss World 2014 Dr Rolene Strauss, Daniel Asiwe, Dato Tiffanee Marie Lim, Dr Norman Cahi, Ava Hall and Sithembile Ntombela.
