Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C’s Durban leg of their African Throne tour had to be cancelled due to bad rainy weather that ruined the music equipment.
The two artists were about to perform at Durban’s People’s Park on September the 30th. Times Live reported that artists such as Zakwe, Duncan and others had performed already and that the two main acts were next to perform.
Fans were however left hanging when the music equipment failed the rappers, leaving their fans without explanation on what was happening.
Both rappers went on their social media to share statements that read:
“Durban we are really sorry that we weren’t able to perform today. The sound desk got damaged due to rain, after a number of attempts to try and recover the sound we had to make the tough decision of cancelling the show. Our team is working to see how to best remedy this. Thank you for your support and we will keep you posted.”

Disappointed fans commented on both rapper’s post asking why they were never told of the cancellation instead were just left in the rain at the venue.
User @_ma.nkosana_ asked Cassper:
“But why didn’t y’all communicate that y’all just left us in the rain like that I’m disappointed Mufasa been your fan since the beginning but the is very wrong.”
Cassper responded saying:
“@_ma.nkosana_ the whole thing shut down, like nothing was working, that’s why we couldn’t even speak on the mic.”
More users shared:
“But to put it out on a post like bro.. that shit is mad disrespectful ?you could just sent one of your peeps out to explain to us what was going on. Mad disappointing guys nenziswa okwabantu baphesheya (you do like international artist do).”
