Multi-award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest has expressed surprise at the attendance of one of his recent shows held in Soweto.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, the Mama I Made It rapper is seen performing to a packed capacity crowd who were all excitingly dancing to the lyrics. The video displayed fireworks and confetti while the fans savoured the moment of seeing their favourite artists face to face.
In the caption of his post, the astonished musician says that he never imagined that this would be the reception he would get after a 20-day notice.
“Last night was special for me. One of the best shows of my life. The love that was in that building…”
“Very often artists feel undervalued and neglected but me? Ai my fans make sure they appreciate me while I am still alive.”

Cassper highlighted that the show had gone on for two hours straight where he performed some of his greatest hits back-to-back. He added that while he could have continued, the event was the perfect warm-up to more concerts that will be taking place soon.
“I definitely owe y’all a fill-up,” he wrote.
“Y’all filled up my heart with love, joy, and passion. I cannot thank you enough […] Y’all support me like y’all get paid for it and I don’t know why.”
This was however not the first time Casper’s fans have shown him appreciation. In 2015 the Doc Shebeleza rapper became the first local rapper to sell out Johannesburg’s Ticket-Pro Dome.
Ending his post, he wrote: “I’m just a kid from Mafikeng who likes putting words together and mimicking his idols and y’all have made me an idol.”
