After a heated back and forth with some critics who labelled his new song a bust, Cassper Nyovest has announced that he will be hosting another one of his popular ‘Fill up the stadium’ events, just to spite the haters who have forgotten who he is.
It appears that the criticism towards his latest offering titled Kusho Bani has been a hard pill for one of mzansi’s biggest stars to swallow. Since its release in early February this year, the song has been a great source of controversy and debate as the country goes back and forth about whether the song is a hit or a miss, with the majority leaning towards the latter.
Joining in on the conversation were controversial figures Mac G and Sol Phenduka, who echoed the sentiments of the majority, and went to the extent of calling the artist “washed”. “Cassper needs to leave the mic before the mic leaves him,” Mac G advised the veteran. His co-host, Sol, went on to express that he believes that Cassper can and has done better than this latest song and has urged him to go back to the drawing board.
This piece of criticism and backlash appears to have struck a nerve with Cassper, as it triggered a myriad of posts where he reminded the people who he was. Furthermore, he raises a valid point in revealing that despite the immense backlash and criticism on social media, the song has been doing well on the charts, which proves that people are listening to the song, debunking the stance that it is a bust.
Putting the matter to rest, the rapper came up with the idea to bring back his popular ‘fill up the stadium’ event where he made history as the first local artist to fill up the FNB Stadium and four others. According to Cassper, it appears that the masses have forgotten who he is and what he is capable of as an artist, and a ‘fill up’ event is exactly what he needs to remind all of his critics, doubters, and haters alike.
He has asked his fans which stadium they would like for him to fill up, as he is determined to make it happen within the span of this year.
You know what??? Lemme just go book a stadium and do FILL UP one more time so we can restore order. Nkare bafana ba ba Tla ntlwaela cause ke itidimaletse!!! Which stadium y’all want ??? Let’s rock!!!

Internet users have continued to criticise Cassper, highlighting the fact that as an artist, he is not above criticism, and should rather respond by making better music, instead of proving that he can fill stadiums up. Other users claim that Cassper does not have enough new music to complete a successful ‘fill up’ event, and would need to resort to digging into his vault to perform his old bangers, which defeats the point.
Now Cassper is doing a FILLUP just cause they said his song is terrible. I feel like he’s being too reactionary. That could be suicide. It’s 2025, you don’t have that motion no more, there’s no hype about him in the streets with that run of trash music. Also, in this economy?! https://t.co/kddG0t6bpH pic.twitter.com/K00Phc7agn
