Cassper Nyovest received recognition from American award-winning comedian Dave Chappelle after he heard the rapper’s verse on a song from Talib Kweli and Madlib. This comes a few days after claims that the rapper can’t rap.
In March, American rapper Talib and deejay and music producer Madlib released their studio album Liberation 2, a sequel to their 2007 release Liberation. Their new 12-track album includes the song Nat Turner which features Cassper.
Taking to Instagram, Talib shared a video of himself, Dave and many other music figures in a studio listening to the song. A portion of the post’s caption read that one of Talib’s producers came to South Africa and got the Mama I Made It hitmaker “to record an amazing verse for the album.”
In the video shared, many jammed to the beat as the song played, with Dave saying about Cassper while listening to his verse, “I have seen this n***a make a stadium shake!”

After seeing the video, Cassper took to his Instagram Story, writing, “Imagine your verse being listened to by GOATS. I grew up listening, watching and learning from that whole room. Stuff dreams are made off.”
Cassper being recognised by internaional music figures may go against claims that he cannot rap. On 16 September, Cassper responded to a post on X which questioned why people thought he could not rap.
He replied, “I don’t know man and to be honest, I don’t care . I think paying attention to haters is unfair to people who actually love you wanna maybe share their opinions with you that build you cause you wasting that time you could’ve gave them by paying attention to marete. I can rap , finish.”
