With many speculating that Cassper Nyovest’s upcoming album – titled Solomon – was named after his longtime friend Solomon ‘Carpo’ More, the rapper clarified his reasoning in an exclusive interview with L-Tido on his podcast.
On 24 July, the Billiato businessman announced on Twitter his interview with L-Tido. “I touch on the album and a lot of other topics. He got to listen to the album before we did the podcast so he shares his views on it as well,” he tweeted.
I’m on the L tido Podcast this week. I think it drops on Wednesday, I touch on the album and a lot of other topics. He got to listen to the album before we did the podcast so he shares his views on it as well. Check it out

In his talks with L-Tido, which received over 100 000 views in one day on YouTube, the rapper explained that the name of the album was actually in reference to the biblical figure King Solomon. He said, “Carpo’s name is Solomon, but it wasn’t really named after Solomon [Carpo]. It was named after the story of King Solomon, but it was also nice that, you know, he [Carpo] could have that moment.”
Cassper then elaborated on King Solomon’s story, crediting the figure as one of the wisest and wealthiest men to live, who also had his flaws. Speaking about himself, he added, “I see myself as like, ‘I’m a superhero,’ but I’m I’ve got my own flaws.”
Solomon was due to be released on Friday, 28 July but experienced delays. Apologising for the delay, Cassper tweeted, “I’m sorry y’all. The positive news is that all is now fixed and we will have a new date and single in the next week.”
