The Crown Gospel Music awards held their 16th annual awards this past weekend with media personality and BONA cover star Rorisang Thandekiso alongside songwriter and singer Khaya Mthethwa as the hosts.
The Crown Gospel Music awards are one of the many exciting programmes of the World Gospel Powerhouse and is a platform for saluting, celebrating and rewarding excellence within the gospel music industry in South Africa and beyond.
The founder of the awards, Zanele Mbokazi mentioned her interest in making gospel films that will unfold the 16 years of the Crowns and will include the untold story of gospel singer, Rebecca Malope. “The crowns are a family event from mother to the child, everyone relates to them,” she added.
