The beloved TV star’s return to skincare follows a drawn-out court battle with well-known brand Nivea. Owners of the beauty giant Beiersdorf sued Connie after she launched a men’s shower gel that looked similar to a product they were already selling, according to TimesLive.

In 2021, the case ended up at the Supreme Court of Appeal where the majority of judges found in favour of Beiersdorf.
The Citizen’s report goes on to say: “The SCA found that the logo on the Connie shower gel was an appropriation of the Nivea Men wave-label indicia on the same kind of product, so as to connect to it a known and established brand and that the get-up, overall appearance, and format of the Connie shower gel is confusingly similar to that of Nivea products.”
Connie’s had a successful launch with her latest venture into the beauty space.

In a chat with TRUELOVE, Connie revealed that her beauty line, launched in 2013, grew from her path of self-discovery. She aimed to craft a brand that enhances confidence and promotes well-being.
Connie’s journey in the haircare arena started when she was 13. Earlier this year, The Citizen reported on a webinar where Connie said she “ran her salon,” by doing other girls’ hair. She was addressing wealth creation and business legacy.
