The long-awaited day of the World Sports Betting Cape Town MET is finally upon us, and our jaws have consistently been on the floor as we indulge in a bit of this and that, ensuring that we leave no stone unturned.
The build-up to this event has been nothing short of spectacular. The weekend began with an exclusive dinner at the expense of the one and only Gavin Rajah. Situated in the heart of Constantia, Klein Constantia extended an invitation to experience a moment of serenity and tranquillity before the madness of the MET through an intimate dinner that can only be described as magnificent. The views, food, and vibe set the tone for what was to come at the main event, which is the MET.
As expected the MET has been a sight for sore eyes as the set-up set the tone for the guests to show up in their best interpretations of the ‘Couture Unleashed’ theme that has been carefully selected this year. Between the impressive fashion and intense horse races that have been on display, we are not sure which aspect is the main event, but we know that we are here for all of it. The vibes are giving exactly what they are supposed to, and we are living for all of it.

Attendees have been treated to jaw-dropping fashion collections from 12 carefully selected designers who have garnered a reputation for pushing the envelope and putting mzansi fashion on a global stage where it belongs. These collections have provided designers with a unique opportunity to break the binaries of what we’ve all known fashion to be and interpret it in a way that not only speaks to the designer’s personality but also resonates with the audience as they look in awe of what they have been able to come up with.
The Cruz Racing Pavillion and Sports Betting marquees have served as a temporary safe haven for some of mzansi’s most notable faces, including the likes of Maps Maponyane, K.O, Nomuzi Mabena, Zingah, and Thabsie, who have not disappointed with their interpretations of this year’s challenging theme.
