Cape Town singer Craig Lucas saw his life flash before his eyes as he fell victim to an armed robbery on Tuesday.
The Smother singer found himself in Thornton when he noticed that he had a flat tire. After exiting the vehicle to inspect the tire, an unknown vehicle stopped closely.
In an Instagram post he adds: “I thought they were coming to help. Instead, they robbed me.
“They had a gun and the one guy told the other to shoot me as they were making off. I begged him not to shoot and thank God he didn’t.”
“They made off with my phone and managed to change the password of my apple ID and Gmail.”
Craig added that his phone was unlocked when the armed robbers took it from him. He is now unable to locate his device or make any change until he gets to access his account. He says that this process will take at least 24 to 48 hours.
Meanwhile he warns close friends. Family and colleagues to ignore strange messages coming from his phone and assume that it’s not him for now.

This is the second time the singer suffers an horrific experience. Last year his brother Warren Lucas and sister in-law Arlene were found murdered in their home.
Following the incident, the singer has been struggling and previously also admitted to fighting suicidal thoughts.
Meanwhile since sharing his recent post, friends and family continued to show him love and were grateful for his life being spared.
