After stealing the spotlight at his sister’s dance concert, Dirkco Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen, better known as Klein Kwagga, found himself a bit of international fame after he appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Klein Kwagga warmed the hearts of many when he brought “main character energy” and gave it his all on stage, while adding a bit of his choreography, to the Afrikaans song Lyfie by Bernice West.
The viral video of his dance moves also caught the eye of the American Idols winner, Kelly Clarkson, who invited the little dancer to have a chat with her on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Dialling in from South Africa with his mom Merica to the American talk show, Klein Kwagga shared how he got up on stage and stole the show: “They [the dance concert] invited older siblings to come dance for a piece of chocolate.”
Sharing her thoughts on the viral video, Mercia told Kelly, “That’s how we know little Kwagga, but there were a few moves that we didn’t know of that came out. But now we know the dancing.”
Kelly had also shared with Kwagga how much joy he had brought her. “You would be best friends with my son, I swear.”
