International Afrobeats star Davido has released his 4th album Timeless after a long silence following the death of his first son, Ifeanyi.
According to Vanguard the album will touch base on the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke who was the singer’s first son with Chioma. Davido’s son tragically died during an incident that occurred on October 31, 2022, which led to the sudden silence of Davido on all social media platforms.
The star announced the news on Wednesday evening at the launch of an alcohol brand that he has partnered with. The launch was held at the Leonardo in Sandton, Johannesburg.
The Assurance hitmaker took to his Instagram timeline to express his graditited on the support of his 4th album saying:
“The support for TIMELESS over the last few days has been incredible! Thank you for the love. I’m so excited to bring this album to life and share it with you in person.”
“LONDON, NEW YORK CITY, LAGOS join me for ‘A Timeless Night’ , a special live event, where we’ll make memories that will last forever!”
He concluded off by promoting his album.
“To my U.K. fans, pre-order Timeless from my official store and get access to the London pre-sale this Wednesday. Link in stories.”
On the album, Davido has featured South African musicians like Musa Keys.
Davido will be joining Focalistic, Scorpion Kings, Major League DJz and Uncle Waffles at Praia Da Rocha Beach, Portimao, The Algarve in June for the Afro Nation festival.
