Afro-pop singer Vusi Nova has piqued the interest of some internet users after a cryptic post alluding to getting married. These users are not only shocked that he got married, but they are more shocked that it was to a woman.
Since breaking into the industry in 2010 when signing with Muthaland Entertainment, Vusi Nova has become one of South Africa’s more notable afro-pop artists, as his music has resonated deeply with the South African audience. His hits such as Ndikuthandile, Asphelelenga, Thandiwe and Nanini Na have cemented Vusi as one of mzansi’s greatest talents and vocalists.
The singer, who temporarily went by his moniker S’Nova, has been the topic of conversation among internet users who are trying to figure out whether or not he recently tied the knot. These users not only express shock at his ability to keep such a matter private, but they reveal that they are more shocked that he would marry a woman, as they were of the belief that he was not straight.
Due to his charismatic, exuberant and carefree nature, as well as his close affiliation with known members of the LGBTQIA+ community, Vusi’s sexuality has been greatly discussed as the public constantly expresses their belief that the artist is also within the community. Back in 2017, in an interview with TshisaLive, the vocalist expressed that he does not believe that he needs to clarify his sexuality to the public.
“I am not going to entertain it and say I am gay or straight because I don’t feel it has anything to do with anyone,” the singer told the publication.
However, over the years, he has alluded to some romantic and intimate relationships with women, as in 2016, he mentioned having a ‘special lady’ in his life, which some believe was an attempt to quiet down the rumours regarding his sexuality.
Recently, the Ndikuthandile hit-maker took to his Instagram to post a somewhat cryptic post that included a woman’s hands with a noticeable rock on the ring finger draped over what appears to be his shoulders. This post has garnered plenty of attention as users express excitement and confusion all at once at the possible news.

Despite the confusion, Vusi’s comments section has been flooded with congratulatory messages, wishing him and his alleged partner the best in their partnership.
“I always knew how straight he is, sooo heart broken, thought he is my husband, yet happy at the same time. You deserve it, Vusi, all the best papie,” one user comments.
However, other users on other social media platforms have not held back their opinions, as they express their genuine shock and disbelief, revealing that they believe that this might be some promo for upcoming music, or a stunt to lay the sexuality rumours to rest for good.
