South African multimedia personality, social entrepreneur, and philanthropist DJ Sbu (born as Sibusiso Leope) has launched an online restaurant.
DJ Sbu has made a name for himself as a DJ, TV and radio host, music producer, actor, best-selling author, and motivational speaker.
DJ Sbu’s career spans over two decades, with notable projects such as his Y-Lens DJ compilations, Mzekezeke – a masked Kwaito character, and work with popular artists like Brown Dash and Zahara. He’s also the co-owner of TS Records, a record label that has produced hit music and launched successful artists.
Mzake’s Kitchen, an innovative online restaurant specialising in authentic African cuisine. This exciting new eatery will be available exclusively on the popular food delivery platform, Uber Eats.
Starting this Easter weekend in Johannesburg, customers can indulge in a diverse range of mouthwatering dishes that showcase the rich flavours and traditions of African cooking. By leveraging the convenience of app-based food delivery, Mzake’s Kitchen aims to make high-quality, authentic African cuisine more accessible to a wider audience.
Initially, the restaurant will operate solely online, allowing customers to browse the menu, place orders, and enjoy their meals from the comfort of their own homes. However, DJ Sbu has ambitious plans for expansion, with franchise opportunities set to become available in March 2026. This will provide aspiring entrepreneurs with a unique chance to join the Mzake’s Kitchen family and become part of a dynamic, rapidly growing brand.
For food enthusiasts in Johannesburg, the countdown to the Easter weekend launch has begun. Once Mzake’s Kitchen officially opens its virtual doors, customers can simply download the Uber Eats app, browse the menu, and place their orders. With its unique blend of traditional African flavours, convenient online ordering, and commitment to quality, Mzake’s Kitchen is poised to become a culinary sensation in Johannesburg and beyond.
