Congratulations to self-proclaimed hustler DJ Sbu whose energy drink business, MoFaya, secured a deal with one of the nation’s biggest retailers, Shoprite Checkers.
Co-founded by DJ Sbu (born Sbusiso Leope) and Likhuleni Shongwe in 2013, MoFaya became the first black-owned energy drink in South Africa. The brand encouraged a hustling spirit, and it’s safe to say, it all paid off.
Sharing the news on his social media accounts, the entrepreneur and podcaster stated that it took nine years to bag the deal. He captioned his post, “Finally after 9 years. All Praise to the Most High God. @Shopritesa thank you ????.”
